Global Market Leader in High Mix, Low Volume and High Complexity Machining Solutions using titanium, tungsten, aluminum, steel, high alloy steel and stainless steel for parts for the aerospace, energy and semiconductor industry is hiring a CNC Machinist. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support of calculation team during calculation phase of new projects
  • Analyze job order and performs the necessary calculations and programming of machining processes to ensure manufacturing of components to specifications
  • Prepares tooling and fixtures for machining process
  • Pre-sets machining tools
  • Installs of fixtures and tooling in lathes and milling centers
  • Review CAD/CAM programs and adjust accordingly
  • Monitors all programs interpret drawings and specifications for machined components to evaluate proper manufacturing processes
  • Perform required preventive maintenance and assist maintenance personnel during repairs or maintenance cycles
  • Inspection of machined components using gages and proper inspection tools
  • Communicates with Quality Department and other CNC Technicians in the launch and series phase to ensure efficient and proper set-up, programming and correction as needed
  • Maintain condition of equipment and work area in accordance with the plant wide 5S system and Company standards
  • Identify safety issues in the production and other areas of the plant giving recommendations of solutions for improvement
  • Others as required
Requirements- Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in 4-axis machining with CNC machine centers
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings
  • Must be able to read drawings in metric system
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience with programming CNC machining centers and lathes
  • Ability to review CAD/CAM designs and blue prints with knowledge of machining of aluminum, titanium or steel
  • Experience with control unit Siemens 840D a plus
  • Ability to be organized, decisive, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and team problem solving skills required
  • Team oriented with the ability to coordinate tasks, prioritize and communicate within the team
  • Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions in English
  • Proficient in MSOffice software, including MS Project
  • Experience with ERP software a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent
