Process Technician -- Injection Molding

We are currently seeking a Process Technician to join the world-class team at our client s premier Midwest facility. Process Technician will provide technical support for the molding operations including preparation, set-up and troubleshooting of machines and secondary processes.

Essential Duties:
  • Sets-up, starts and troubleshoots presses using established process control methods.
  • Sets-up straight forward open and closed molds as well as more complex molds with multiple core pulls, auxiliary hydraulics and manifolds.
  • Change end of arm tooling and loads robot program into press.
  • Monitor press cycle to ensure that presses are running to routing standards.
  • Initiate corrective action for jobs running out of standard cycle.
  • Sets-up and troubleshoot secondary equipment
  • Change end of arm tooling and loads robot program into press.
  • Participates in 5S Kaizen events as directed by supervisor.
Preferred Background:
  • Minimum of three years related experience in plastics technology, preferably injection molding
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of RJG technology via e-dart control.
  • Experience in basic robotic troubleshooting on end of arm tooling.
  • Demonstrated ability to set limit switches, timers, and process controls on presses.
  • Ability to pull/clean screws and barrels.
