We are conducting a search for an Advertising Account Executive for a local magazine and digital publication that is disrupting the multimedia business space. Our client is shaping the conversation rather than just reporting the news, having the most influential audience in Los Angeles.
The Advertising Account Executive will be responsible for generating new business in all business to business segments selling print, digital and event sponsorships. Additionally, the Account Executive will represent the company at local community and business events.
Compensation package consists of a base salary of $55, 000 + uncapped commission for an on-target earnings of $90, 000. Other benefits include: 401k program, mileage allowance, cell phone, laptop, expense account, and full benefits.
Will utilize a solutions-based approach to educate clients on the value of the publication s 360-degree platform and how the partnership can grow their business
Achieve and exceed all sales and performance goals on a consistent basis
Assist in development of local marketing initiatives and participation in industry events
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of research tools and competitive set
Represent the company at all functions, industry and networking events
Minimum of 2+ years business-to-business outside sales experience with a proven track record of success
Multi-platform media sales experience preferred, with an established network of client and agency relationships from print, broadcast, cable, radio or digital media a plus
The ability to focus on a specific category/industry, such as finance, law, medical, education, insurance, real estate, sports, hospitality, automotive, entertainment, HR, technology, health care, electronics, and travel
Energetic self-starter with a natural drive to seek business new opportunities (prospecting)
Must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of consistent sales revenue growth
On-point presentation skills and expert product knowledge
Ability to identify sales opportunities and develop client relationships with key decision makers
Results-oriented personality and style/ strong sense of urgency
Ability to turn a business contact into a revenue opportunity
Sharp and effective communicator with a consultative style (both verbal and written), able to listen effectively and identify how to meet customers needs
Customer-focused orientation - puts the customer first
Independent thinker and ability to work autonomously/ self-motivated
Experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM software experience
