Our client has an immediate need for an experienced Operations Manager.
Responsibilities Manage and oversee the Foremen on their projects.
Ensure Foremen are planning their projects and maintaining a Three Week Look Ahead.
Ensure Foremen are creating Run Sheets and working from them.
Ensure Foremen have all resources (material, manpower, subcontractors, tools and equipment) to complete their projects on time, on budget and with a high level of quality.
Ensure Foremen are adhering to scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements for the projects.
o Make rounds to projects on a regular basis to ensure we are meeting the above requirements
Work with Foremen to identify delays and scope and schedule changes then communicate this to the PM and Division Manager for RFI submission and change order pricing/negotiation.
Work with Foremen to identify areas where scope needs to be clarified then communicate to PM and Division Manager for RFI generation and submission.
Perform Weekly and Daily Manpower Scheduling.
Train Foremen and all field staff in monthly technical trainings whether done by outside manufacturers or done in house.
Train Foremen to be managers.
Perform monthly quality control inspections on large projects.
Drive safety program to field staff.
Work with Warehouse Manager to ensure we are maintaining our tools and are tracking our tools, so we always have availability for projects.
Skills Must have strong leadership, planning, organization, time management and verbal as well as written communication skills. Must be PC literate and able to use Microsoft Excel and Word as well scheduling software proficiently. Must be a strong leader with strong technical as well as managerial skills for training and mentoring of field staff as well as execution of projects. Must have experience installing telecommunications cabling infrastructure as well as other low voltage systems such as paging systems, nurse call, two-way communication systems, etc. BICSI Technician Certification is preferred but not required. BICSI RTPM is a bonus.
