As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling our Network Detective Software to Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in your assigned territory. You will manage and close new sales through strong telephone sales techniques, forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. This is an inside sales position that involves technical knowledge and experience with IT sales.
Diligent telephone and email follow-up on all marketing generated leads as assigned.
Create and follow-up on new sales opportunities via prospecting.
Constant learning to build and maintain product and industry knowledge.
Be adept at providing high-level product demonstrations and able to handle client inquiries.
Conduct business-oriented discussions with prospects about how our software will benefit their organization.
Provide accurate forecasting/pipeline information to management on a weekly basis.
Must be a team player who is a self-starter and can perform under pressure and with minimum supervision.
Consistently exceed monthly quotas.
Success criteria for this position include:
Consistent communication with prospects via phone and email.
Perform high volume of calls and emails on a daily basis.
Create and maintain an opportunity pipeline that is at least 4x quota.
2-4 years demonstrable track record of inside sales experience with at least 1 year experience in IT software/hardware sales. (This is NOT an account management position.)
Exceptional telephone/email based selling experience - these will be your predominant sales engagement activities, although travel to face to face meetings will also be required when appropriate
Ability to excel in a highly structured sales environment with close management of activity levels, sales performance, and adherence to process;
Ability to articulate complex solutions in a simple and straightforward manner;
Experience selling to MSPs or working for MSPs is a plus.
General technical understanding of networks, systems and applications.
Understanding of industry compliance standards including HIPAA, PCI, FINRA, NIST a plus.
Personable, with convincing phone etiquette, high energy and enthusiasm.
Track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets while taking the customer from lead to close over the phone.
Ability to educate and facilitate the closing of warm leads and create opportunities from cold contacts.
Strong and effective written communications.
Proven track record of building relationships at all levels of an organization over the phone.
Cold calling skills to effectively navigate organizations to find the right contact(s).
Proven ability to work in a team environment.
Above average time management and self-motivation skills.
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce.Com is a plus).
Expertise with all Microsoft Office applications.
