The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and motivating sales team toward successful and profitable growth. Directly manages Account Representatives to drive sales within the area. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing and resolving inquiries/ issues with key customers.
Up to 90K base/ 123K OTE
**Average retention rate is 8 years; 30% of workforce with company 10 years or more
Builds, directs and motivates an effective outside sales team. Coaches and provides training for sales personnel as needed to drive revenue goals.
Provides motivational leadership through coaching, mentoring, education, and market knowledge; contribute to bringing sales staff up to their highest potential.
Effectively expand and maintain revenue growth within territory.
Coordinate communication with Operations to ensure sales strategies meet district needs.
Business development through industry networking.
Makes sales and sales maintenance calls on key customers to identify growth opportunities for the District and/or territory to ensure current customers are receiving proper service.
College degree with 3+ years combined business-to-business sales experience and distance management experience or minimum 7 years industry experience without degree.
At least 2 years experience managing a sales force with a proven record of increasing sales and profit.
Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency and account development and management skills.
Ability to develop effective marketing strategies, accurately forecast revenue growth and profit.
Ability to build relationships with external and internal customers.
