Our client, a leading Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, is seeking a Composite Material (GMT) Account Manager to further develop relationships with OEM s as well as to establish new account opportunities. This company is a world leader in the manufacturing of construction materials, automotive components such as GMT, EPP, and interior decorations, and other plastics products such as packing materials and films.



The Composite Material Account Manager will play a critical role within the organization and is responsible for working with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure strategic and profitable growth at existing and potential automotive and non-automotive customers and the OEMs they supply. This role reports directly to the Sales Director and will be responsible for growing market share by supporting and representing Company s product portfolio. This individual will work closely with the team and customers to provide support for current and new material applications. This position will also be responsible for developing and maintaining all contracts while providing high quality customer service. The primary focus of this role is to maintain and grow existing business while identifying new business opportunities.



Responsibilities:

Develop strategic sales plans for customer accounts to facilitate profitable business growth in alignment with the company s established revenue goals.

Meet established budgetary new target growth as defined annually by the business.

Serve as a cross functional liaison between your customers and the Company s manufacturing teams to facilitate productive communications, planning and interactions; and resolutions for technical, commercial, quality and/or delivery issues.

Establishing credibility with your key customers by predicting customer needs or problems and effectively translating them into corresponding solutions in an accurate, effective and timely fashion.

Effectively reporting financial objectives, results and market trends and other key information pertaining to the automotive business sales and marketing leadership team in a timely manner.

Actively understand Company s competition within your key accounts in order to develop strategies to win new business.

Provide weekly sales forecasts updates to the manufacturing team to aid in effective management of labor and materials.

Ensure and aid the finance team in the pursuit of improved receivable collections.

Provide insight and participate in continuous improvement activities that will aid in the improvement of customer satisfaction, plant efficiency and market growth.

Perform other job-related responsibilities as required to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.




Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of five years plastics or composites sales experience. GMT experience is a plus.

Existing client relationships with automotive industry / Big 3 OEM s.

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated experience using analytical, presentation and negotiation skills in a customer/ supplier business environment required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to travel as dictated by business need.

Strong project management and organizational skills along with the proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and team members.
