The Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing crucial administrative and operational support to our sales team. Responsibilities include generating leads to strengthen solar consultant portfolios, networking, and ensuring a consistent influx of potential clients. This position offers a comprehensive learning experience in sales, allowing for exposure to various aspects of the field under the guidance of seasoned professionals. Essential to our core values is direct interaction with customers and prospects, emphasizing integrity, and proactive communication to build enduring relationships.
The right candidate will be the face of the company in the market and will present high morals and ethics by ensuring that the company s fundamental beliefs are followed and maintained.
Primary Roles:
Assist solar consultants with day-to-day activities.
Source name and emails for solar consultants.
Learn and implement and monitor the 8 to 12 touch theory.
Work prospects list to generate appointments.
o Source lists for decision makers and contact information.
o Send letters.
o Send email information where possible.
o Make phone calls to decision makers to set appointments for consultants.
Develop lists of prospects in each sales territories.
Make field calls to prospects in each territory:
o Learn script.
o Drop off Donuts or other items along with handwritten notes.
o Follow-up each with phone call
o Follow with email or letter.
o The goal is to set up appointments for the consultants.
o Monitor all calls and report weekly.
Market niches-work with sales manager on the development and prospecting of various market segments.
Networking-become active in the community and build a network of resources for lead generation.
Solar Presentations-Present 10-minute overviews of solar to service clubs and other organizations or associations
Learn all aspects of solar and solar sales.
Potential growth opportunities in the sales department available based on performance. If promoted, employee will be expected to train their replacement.
Physical Requirements:
Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time.
Hear, talk, and listen.
Salary $60k base plus commissions
